I installed a game yesterday and had to uninstall it because it would just not work. I tried everything. Frist, it would say I had to be an administrator for it to run, so I ran it as an administrator, but then it just wouldn't start. So, I ran the technicalcompatibility troubleshoot and tried every setting they recommended and it won't start or open at all.
It doesn't even try to start. The run as administrator permission box opens and I click ok and then nothing happens.
It still won't work. Any fixes for this?It worked before on windows 7 and then I upgraded to windows 10 and now nothing. Thank you, Likhitha V. I am testing games on Windows 10 for a large gaming community and am having the same problem. The games install just fine, but will not launch, no matter where they are installed to or any of the compatibility modes.
It appearsto be kind of hit or miss with some older games installing from the disk and playing and some games installing and refusing to launch. All of these games that won't launch worked on both Windows 7 and on Windows 8.1.I will subscribe to this post for any updates which would be greatly appreciated! DRM is digital rights management. Many game distributors have used several forms of DRM in a failed attempt to keep their games from being pirated. SecuRom, Tages, SafeDisk and StarForce are just some of them. Most of them do not use it any more, butsome will require on-line activation and other forms of DRM.
This article explains more.I'm not holding my breath for Microsoft to provide any help for this problem.
